Referral Program Terms

Last updated 2026-07-07

These are the rules of the FIMIT referral program. Invite another business to FIMIT: when they subscribe to a paid plan, they get 20% off their first month and you earn one month of their plan as account credit — both as credit toward your FIMIT bills, not cash. The program runs on the web dashboard at https://app.fim-it.com, and all rewards are in euros.

Who can take part

The program is open to existing FIMIT organisations inviting new businesses:

  • Any FIMIT organisation with an account can share its referral link.
  • The business you invite must be new to FIMIT — a brand-new organisation.
  • You cannot refer your own organisation, or someone with the same company email domain as you. These are blocked automatically.

How it works

From sharing your link to earning credit, there are four steps:

  • Share your link. Every organisation has a unique referral link, shown on your dashboard — for example https://app.fim-it.com/?ref=YOURCODE.
  • They sign up through it. When someone creates a new organisation after clicking your link, the referral is recorded. Only the first link a new organisation arrives through counts, and it is fixed from then on — it cannot be changed later.
  • They subscribe to a paid plan. Nothing is earned at sign-up or during a free trial; the reward is tied to a real paid subscription, so it only triggers on genuine new revenue.
  • Rewards are applied, as described below.

The rewards

The business you referred gets 20% off their first paid month, applied as account credit at the time they convert to paid.

You (the referrer) get one month of their plan price as account credit, applied after a 14-day holding period (see below). This reward scales with the plan the new customer chooses — referring someone onto a larger plan earns you more — and is capped at one month of the Scale plan (€399), so a single referral cannot exceed that amount.

  • All rewards are account credit in euros, used automatically against your future FIMIT invoices.
  • The program does not pay cash and is not an affiliate or commission scheme.

The 14-day holding period

Your referrer credit is granted 14 days after the business you referred makes their first payment. This short hold covers the refund and chargeback window: if their payment is reversed inside those 14 days, the referral is voided and no credit is granted. This keeps the program tied to real, retained revenue. The referred business’s own 20% discount is applied immediately at conversion, not held.

When a referral is not rewarded

A referral does not pay out if:

  • it was a self-referral, or a referral within the same organisation or company email domain;
  • the referred organisation never converts to a paid plan;
  • the referred organisation’s first payment is refunded or disputed within the 14-day hold — if the referrer credit had already been granted, an equivalent amount is reversed.

Fair use

The referral program exists to reward genuine word-of-mouth between businesses. FIMIT may withhold or reverse rewards, and may adjust or end the program, in cases of fraud, abuse or attempts to game the mechanics. One referrer is attributed per referred organisation.

Privacy

FIMIT does not reveal the identity or contact details of the business you referred back to you — you see that a referral converted and the reward you earned, not their private account data. (FIMIT staff can see both sides for support and fraud handling.) The program is operated under FIMIT’s standard EU/GDPR privacy terms, described in the Privacy Policy.
